Plant yourself in the great room of this 4,028 square-foot Lahontan Golf Club home and you’ll find yourself surrounded by all things stunning. There’s a stone fireplace beside you, a beautiful kitchen to one side, window-side dining room to the other, outdoor patio beyond, and a custom staircase climbing up to the sleeping quarters above. But there’s an even more impressive means of taking in this 5 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom home with all the elegance and charm of a Tahoe lodge. Golfers teeing up at the nearby 1st tee box on the Tom Weiskopf golf course glance over to a home that captures one’s imagination. Take it further afield and – with skis and a handy pair of binoculars – you can interrupt your descent down Northstar California’s Washoe run with a gaze at this home glowingly nestled in the pines of Lahontan. Throw in the fact that The Lodge with dining, spa, golf shop and fitness center is a short walk away, and this home becomes even more attractive. Warm woods and bold beams accent the living space and its vaulted ceiling with a pair of French doors lead to a covered patio with views of the 1st tee, 1st fairway, and Lookout Mountain. There’s a firepit and barbecue bay as well. This patio wraps around the house, leading to a sunny sitting space outside the den to one side and – on the other end – a hot tub seated just outside the primary suite, along with steps that gracefully wander off toward the fairway and forest. The first-level primary bedroom includes a loft that doubles as an office, as well as a large fireplace, private patio with hot tub, and windows that gather the morning light. The other side of this home features a den with patio and a pair of bedrooms upstairs with a shared bath and separate views. There’s another staircase on the other side of the living space that leads to a landing loft with views of the downstairs as well as a pair of bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a media room. Whether looking at this from the inside or from the perspective of the first tee or the last run down Washoe, you’ll find this home possesses an atmosphere ideal for entertaining – whether it’s as simple as a blankets-and-movie family night or a summer fest overlooking the 1st fairway on the back deck.
