8518 Meeks Bay Ave, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Property Description

Set on the lakeside of Highway 89 along Tahoe's quiet southwest shore, this brand-new mountain-modern residence occupies a rare position between Rubicon and Meeks Bay, where limited development, dramatic shoreline and crystal-clear water define one of the lake's most distinctive settings. Directly across from the lake's edge, the home enjoys excellent water views and is just a short distance from the sandy beaches of Meeks Bay, with Homewood Mountain Resort only minutes north. Designed and built by one of the area's most accomplished builders, the 3-story home pairs cedar siding and stucco with Andersen windows, clean lines and expansive decks that draw the outdoors into nearly every level. The top-floor great room captures the home's strongest outlook with vaulted ceilings, wide-plank flooring and a dramatic fireplace. A bifold door opens to the lake-view deck, while the adjoining kitchen features custom cabinetry, contrasting stone surfaces and a waterfall-edge island. The middle level offers a second living space and 3 bedrooms, including a spacious primary suite with a walk-in closet and spa-inspired bath. Downstairs, an additional ensuite bedroom, wet bar and flexible living area create an ideal guest retreat or extended-family space. In a shoreline enclave where inventory is already limited, brand-new construction on the lakeside of Highway 89 is a true rarity. This is a property defined as much by where it sits as by what was built.
